(1.1) Ametrineogrenogram

(1.1) Ametrineogrenogram - Original sold
The title stems from the following words and their meanings:
- Ametrine
- (mineral) a crystalline structure.
- gren
- Old Danish / Norse — a branch that comes off from the main trunk of a tree.
- gram
- Greek suffix — something written or drawn, a record.
Ametrineogrenogram was largely influenced by the mineral, Ametrine. Ametrine is a crystal that contains amethyst and citrine, both of which are forms of quartz. It is a highly unique blend of two potent energies and is believed to help enhance mental and spiritual clarity, as well as helping in uniting opposing masculine and feminine energies in order to achieve harmony and balance.
The artist has worked to develop an impression with Ametrine in mind, as it is known to have a strong healing energy that aids in releasing negativity from within. The presence of gold within the artwork was done so with intent, and was inspired by the intimate act of gifting a piece of jewellery which typically symbolises appreciation, love and timelessness. An intentional attempt by the artist to encapsulate that sense of feeling and its essence. With that said, Ametrineogrenogram is an attempt to instil a feeling of positive synergy within the observer.
The original artwork was produced entirely by hand: each found image was selected, hand cut and applied to paper. It is made up of many images and photos of jewellery (notably gold), meat processing factories, corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanum, the titan arum), fish eggs, sea anemones, corals, fabrics, microscopic images (cellular), desert dunes, flowers, fire, trees in autumn, brains, gold bullion, coding, crowds of people at festivals, cityscapes, rock, mountains, feathers, astrological photographs and more.
Exclusive limited-edition signed and numbered Giclée prints with Certificate of Authenticity (Limited run of 5 prints available) meticulously produced on premium archival fine art paper using professional large-format printers and museum-quality inks. Paradigmeallegoriagrams
Each work from Paradigmeallegoriagrams by Harvey Saunders radiates outward from a dense, often luminous central core—sometimes featuring an intricate golden geometric emblem resembling interlaced knots or sacred patterns—into dynamic, spiky bursts of color and imagery. The vibrant, full-spectrum palettes shift across pieces: cool blues and greens in some, fiery reds, magentas, and oranges in others, or balanced explosions embracing every hue. Fragments depict an encyclopedic cross-section of the world—landscapes, oceans, forests, animals, architecture, people, objects, patterns, and textual snippets from advertising and headlines like “WASH,” “LOCAL,” or “FREE”—woven into a seamless, energetic whole.
Saunders plays with the old proverb “one picture is worth a thousand words,” deliberately overloading the viewer with thousands of images that collectively “speak” volumes. Every work in the series exists as an original collage, produced by selecting each found image, cutting it by hand and applying it to paper. Through precise hand-cutting into angular polygons, irregular shards, and layered elements, the collages gain physical depth and tactility, with overlaps and varied edges catching light to create shimmering, almost holographic effects.
Ultimately, Paradigmeallegoriagrams transforms the fragmented visual language of mass media into unified, radiant forms that celebrate diversity, interconnection, and the transformative power of reconstruction. These immersive works invite close examination of individual stories within each fragment before stepping back to perceive the emergent cosmic whole.
